I love music all types of music at anytime. What I do not like is the denigration of African American women, if it is shown on BET or ABC. I wanted to watch the BET Awards show to listen to some good music and see the new artists.
Chris Rock was the host this year and he started by interviewing some white folks. I did not think it was very funny.
Chris Rock can be a very funny man but this skit left me cold.
No problem, I turned the set up to get prepared for the show. Well, I forgot the performers were still playing with themselves on T.
V. Why do we have to see them touching their private parts in a public forum?
Private parts should be touched privately. But that is part of the plan.
They seemed to have gotten stuck in a time warp. This style of “entertainment” has been around for awhile now, too long. They have said everything they can say with as much self hatred and female denigration as possible.
The “artists” have no idea they are being controlled by a group of people that are the purveyors of African American self destruction. They are in a lopsided partnership and the “artists” believe they are in control.
They really hate African American women because we help to carry new generations. What the h*** was that scene when the women were in black costumes and their legs were opened. Was that supposed to be seductive? No, it was supposed to be what it was. Ensuring that the over sexualized African American stereotype was front and center in the year 2014.
Kathy Hughes, the owner of BET, or did she sell it? Regardless, she sold out. Nevertheless, she was sitting there front and center. Does she have executive oversight? Does she approve of how her gender is being denigrated?
I ain’t even gon talk about Nikki. I had to turn the tube off or be forced to break it. My next message is to Kathy Hughes. Whether she reads it or not has nothing to do with my role as a teller of the truth according to my history.
