Usher Takes A Stand Against Police Brutality During Live Performance at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center

As more and more light is shed on the fact that police brutality is something is real and happening all over this country, celebrities are jumping on board to support their people. It is actually quite refreshing to see this.
Not everyone can steal the show when performing side by side with the likes of Jay Z, Beyonce, Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne…but Usher did just that this week at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

And he did it by singing about what the people want to hear and calling out police brutality.

This wasn’t your average feel good performance…Usher hit hard with handcuffs and all to make people think about the real issues during the first performance of his new song “Chains.”

Nas and Bibi Bourelly joined him in the song. “Chains” is Usher’s newest track and he’s putting people to a challenge to “not look away” from all racial events and injustices happening in the black community.

The proceeds from the concert are benefiting the movement, too.

They will go to organizations “dedicated to advancing positive community relations and effecting systemic change for the deveopment and sustainability of just socities.”
