Ghanaian Entrepreneur’s Hair Care Line Transforms the Lives of Women Affected By Domestic Violence

Cindy Tawiah is the Ghanian entrepreneur behind Diva by Cindy, a multi-ethnic hair care system. The former nurse was inspired by her chemistry teacher and desire for better hair care products that stopped hair from shredding, breaking and helped it grow.

In 2007, she did just that by starting Diva by Cindy, a brand of products that protects and cares for women’s hair, prevents breakage and stimulates growth, and can be used on all types of hair, improving overall health of the hair and scalp.

However, Cindy never wanted to just be an entrepreneur. She desired to help others with her gift and passion for hair. Before she opened her business, she opened a nonprofit organization for domestic violence victims.

The Diva Project is a philanthropic extension of Diva by Cindy, based on sales of the Diva brand. Cindy created this project to support women victims of domestic violence.

For each product sold, $ 1.00 is donated. The project is a success in the lives of each domestic violence victim who has been pampered. It has also been showcased in several television channels and news reports for their great work.
