Do You Know The 14th Reason Why?

by | Apr 18, 2017 | Opinion | 0 comments

Just watched “13 Reasons Why” on Netflix.

I find it odd, but thoroughly explainable, as to why there was bullying before cyberbullying, but no one wanted to discuss it until its form became a white teenage female.

When you add all of that pain to the multitudinous additional issues of racism, even intra-racism between Black people, then you hear someone say “cyber-bullying” as if it bullying did not exist before it showed up on white skin under the influence…

You wonder, often, how the hell the bullying of Black women by EVERYBODY, with the additional pain of being racially disparaged and having literally and often ZERO options or other ways “out,” escaped everybody’s got-damned notice and is still being overlooked to this very day.

I have the 14th Reason and it’s not a confession from a rapist … The 14th Reason is that it’s acceptable and it’s somehow the Black woman’s own fault if the same shit happens to HER, whether she was drunk/high or not.

And it’s also acceptable if the rapist is now called the “president of the united states” and is hiding his cyber-bullying and rape and molestation of young women under “color of law.”
Call it immunity – and a club and society of rapists who tell on themselves just by their attitudes and behaviors toward the women (and some men) that they have abused and raped and the ones who have been abused and raped by others.
