an institute, corporation, or group organized for interdisciplinary research (as in technological and social problems) —called also think factory

The full definition reads:

Institute, corporation, or group organized for interdisciplinary research, usually conducted for governmental and commercial clients. Projects for government clients often involve social policy planning and national defense.

Commercial projects include developing and testing new technologies and new products. Funding sources include endowments, contracts, private donations, and sales of reports.

The word “think-tank” was first used around 1959, but the idea is older and modern interpretations are modeled after organizations such as the Fabian Society (19th Century). http://www.fabians.org.uk/

What I want to point out to you, is that the Europeans have been organizing themselves since their rise and conquest.

The Black community has been disorganized since we came under White Supremacy attack.

Apart from the micro organizations that rose since the slave-rebellions and during the early 20th century, we haven’t been able to come up with a lasting solution to our problems.

Hence, we are still fighting the same system and dealing with the same problems and perpetuate our own suppression.

Here is why I think we should have our own Think-tank’s:

1. A Platform for Permanent and Consistent change
   African Think-tank’s would form a solid base to build from. If we want to successfully change our current situation and the course of African history we need to start thinking. We need to put thought in our actions and plan for the longterm.

2. Countering White Supremacy
   It is evident that the European did not consolidate power with luck, but with timing and planning. This is to our detriment since we have always been reactionaries, responders. We need more than movements, we need a systemic approach to counter the system. We need to approach our problems systematically and strategically. You can’t quell a house fire with a glass of water.
3. Identifying, Analyzing Problems within the African Community
   Anyone understands that, the only way to successfully solve a problem, is to first understand what caused the problem. You can’t solve anything without knowing what the root cause of a problem is. Especially when we are fed by a media who has the tendency to enlarge or even fabricate problems that aren’t there (f.e. Absent Black Fathers or the infamous 75% Single Black Women). We need to map out the real issues as to invest our energies and resources where it is most needed.
4. Retaining and Fostering Potential within the African Community Globally
   We’ve had a few American African graduates and talents making headlines. Our future potentials now study at White Universities, graduate and will be recruited into the system of White Supremacy. In this way we help further the White Supremacy agenda. African oriented Think-tank’s could nurture these talented young men and women and give them a place where they can explore, work and create for the benefit of the Global African Community.
5. Creating Concrete Opportunities For Africans World Wide
   This also ties in with community-, and nation building. Our economic position is to weak. Reports for 2015 say that American Africans on annual have an estimated 1 trillion in spending power but, no wealth. With wealth is understood, ownership. To change this we need to move to a more hands on approach when we encourage and promote entrepreneurship and owning businesses. A Think-tank would be one way to help business owners and starting and aspiring entrepreneurs to find their way through counseling and advising. As it can help create oversight and transparency and in turn yield opportunities for our communities to sustain themselves and grow.

Of course there are more reasons to add to these 5. The main thing is that we need to start thinking of our future and the future of the generations that come long after we are gone.
