White Woman Falsely Accused 4 Black Men of Rape and Received Less the Minimum Sentence

In a time when racially tension is high people are still playing with fire. A Michigan woman accused four black men of kidnapping, raping, and holding her hostage for ransom. Leiha Ann-Sue Artman, 25, told police that when she arrived at home four black men approached her in her driveway asking for directions. They then blindfolded her, bound her hands, put in the trunk, drove her to an unknown location and sexually assaulted her. After assaulting her they sent pictures of her bound and bloody face to her boyfriend demanding money.

As terrifying as this all sounds, it’s all completely false. After repeatedly questioning Artman some things in her story were not adding up and she finally admitted it was a lie. The strangest part of it all is no one knows what led her to tell the theatrical lie.

What if the police went out and rounded up four black men solely based the lie she told?

Reporting a false felony is punishable by a four year prison sentence, but Artman was a second offense habitual offender, which could have increased the penalty up to six years. But for some odd reason she was only sentenced to 1 year in jail with credit for two days served and 2 years’ probation. She will also have to pay a $1,158 fine. She has a lengthy criminal background but was giving a slap on the wrist for her crime. The injustice system hard at work as usual.
