White New England Patriot Player Who Supported Kaepernick’s Protest is Skipping White House Visit Too

Chris Long, New England Patriots’ defensive end, has been added to the list of players that have decided not to visit the President following the team’s Super Bowl win. Some are surprised because Long is a white male and the other Patriots opting out of the visit are black. Long also supported Colin Kaepernick in his silent protest throughout the season due to the mistreatment of black people in America.

Long Tweeted about his decision making it clear he’s not “joining” anyone and does not feel the need to explain his decision which is completely respectable because the team Captain, Tom Brady, did not explain himself when he decided not to visit our former President Barack Obama. Long Tweeted:

“Planned on skipping, hadn’t been asked. Don’t need an open letter explaining my own words to me. Not ‘joining’ anyone. My call,” Long said.

At least six Patriots will not be in attendance: Martellus Bennett, Devin McCourty, Dont’a Hightower, Le Garrette Blount, Alan Branch and Chris Long. One can only imagine there are more players that will not be in attendance they simply chose not to make an announcement.
