Pretty much any details or truths you probably know about Ancient Africa have come to you by being enlightened or by self learning, there is misinformation, misrepresentation and a downright lack of focus on the amazingly rich history of the mother continent.
It’s getting so bad that in some places (Yes, Texas!
) African and African-American history is all but being erased from the school system.
Kids need to be educated about the truth somehow, if school is not going to do it then there are other ways.
Thankfully there is some help from others who feel the same. EdAnima Productions has been created to produce media that meets serious educational needs and a is engaging, interesting and innovative in it’s output.
The group was co-founded by African American teens and young adults and is based in Baltimore.
Right now their focus is Ancient Africa, Meltrek (short for Melanin Journey) was released in October 2014 and is a collection of eight lessons that teaches history, culture and contributions of Africans and African Americans from 2,000 B.C. up until 2008. And to make it pretty awesome, this is being taught through hip-hop beats and rhymes.

Why don’t you teach the truth about who the black people in America really is. We are the real Hebrew Israelite, Israel is our true homeland not Africa.
