Washington Redskins Players Hand Delivers Medical Supplies to Haiti

Washington Redskins wide receiver Pierre Garcon and defensive end Ricky Jean Francois have joined the teams’ owner Daniel Snyder on his private jet to hand deliver medical supplies for people affected by Hurricane Matthew in Haiti. Both men are proud Haitians, what better way to show love for your country than going back supporting in their time of need.

Personally delivering the supplies is commendable especially with the controversy that surrounded the Red Cross’ relief efforts and misappropriation of funds after the 2010 earthquake in Haiti.

Could imagine starting over or rebuilding every two to six years. This is a reality faced by Haitians who have been plagued by everything from earthquakes to hurricanes and tropical storms. The Redskins’ organization also organized a supply mission to the Bahamas, sending a plane filled with goods to another one of the countries impacted by last week’s hurricane.
