The vile manner in which a black mentally disabled student was sexually violated is so hard to fathom.
It is hard to believe that someone would assault another person in the manner that four white students sexually violated their teammate.
On October 23, 2015, John R.K. Howard and Tanner Ward, along with a third juvenile student, pretended to offer their mentally disabled “teammate” a hug, but instead they bent him over and sodomized him with a coat hanger.
According to KTVB reports “a third attacker then kicked the coat hanger several times, forcing it farther into the victim’s body and causing rectal injuries that required treatment at a hospital.”
Before the assault the victim was harassed for months while the school administration knowingly did nothing to protect him. His “teammates” called him racial slurs regularly and no one was ever reprimanded. The victim was adopted by white parents who reside in a small town that is predominately white.
The details of the gruesome attack made me cringe just listening to them. There has been no word on the sentences the other attackers have received but John R.K. Howard is walking away with a pat on the back while two of the other attackers could be faced with life in prison. Howard plead guilty to one felony count of injury to a child after he led two of his teammates into the locker room to help him sexually violate their black teammate. Howard will receive 300 hours of community service and probation.
Howard’s parents sent him to Idaho to live with his Uncle because he couldn’t stay out of trouble in Texas, so it’s clear this boy has issues that were intentionally over looked during the trial.
The courts never fail to attempt to consider the future of white men who are sick and twisted and belong behind bars. Why do I say this? According to court documents, Howard has a family member with clout in the community:
“Mr. Howard is a relative of prominent individuals in the community and, at least in part due to his athletic ability and community connections, the Defendants ignored or were deliberately indifferent to the behavior of Mr. Howard which included aggression, taunting and bullying of The Plaintiff and other students in the District,” the civil lawsuit reads. “With deliberate indifference, the Defendants did nothing to curb the vicious acts of Mr. Howard who brought with him from Texas a culture of racial hatred towards the Plaintiff.”
This is what white privilege looks like, he is getting away with rape and assault no matter how the courts are trying spin it. Court paper document how Howard also made the victim learn a racist song entitled Notorious KKK: “Moon man, Moon man, can’t you see, S***s and ni**ers need to hang from trees, And I just love your racist ways, I guess that’s why their mom is black and you’re so great.” The ringleader of the verbal and physical abuse and sexual assault is being asked to do some work in the community as punishment for the heinous crime he committed.
The victim’s family has a million lawsuit pending against the district because according to his parents at least 11 staff and faculty members knew of about the harassment and did nothing to protect him.
