As an out-of-control car plowed towards a young boy one woman, Shanta Jordan, hurled herself in front of the car, they were both smashed into the wall and her actions likely took enough of the blow to save the boys life.
Surveillance footage caught the shocking moment that happened in Bridgeport, Connecticut, on Wednesday.
Bridgeport police Chief A.J. Perez told KRON:
“If she did not step in, the child would be in direct contact with the motor vehicle against the wall, and most likely, he would have perished,”
“He would have died.”
She is being hailed a “heroine.”.
Both are in hospital with serious wounds but are expected to survive.
