Rihanna was honored with the Harvard Humanitarian Award and turned up at the Ivy League school to give a thank you speech that left people in love with this lady!

She was given the award due to her state-of-the-art cancer treatment center and the scholarships and educational programs she has created for the youth.

Say what you want about RiRi but she has ALWAYS given back!

At just 18, when she first hit the American scene but was by no means rich she started her first charity foundation.

Cancer treatment is particularly dear to her as her beloved Grandma Clara “Dolly” Brathwaite passed away in 2012 after a battle with the illness.

For the speech, she held her confidence, flicked her hair and pursed her lips. Joked about coming back to study and getting a degree but mostly gave a strong message about being a humanitarian.

She told the crowd:

“You don’t have to be rich to help somebody. You don’t have to be famous. You just do whatever you can to help in any way that you can.”

“We are all human and we all just want a chance. A chance at life, a chance at an education, a chance at a future really,”

“All you need to do is help one person, expecting nothing in return. To me, that is a humanitarian.”

“My Grandma always used to say, if you got a dollar, there’s plenty to share.”

Rihanna’s speech starts at 1hr 16mins…
