Many ladies of the black community love their hair and weave. That is an indisputable fact in our community as we spend hundreds of millions, even billions of dollars each year on them. And there seems to be no end in sight.
Before we get into the video, allow me to say it is not my intention to shame black women for wearing weave or even to tell you not to do so, but only to make you aware of the global business you are clearly the engine behind. With awareness comes change and maybe this change will be you deciding to get into the business of hair and weave instead of just being consumers.
And yes, we acknowledge there are plenty of other women around the country that wear weave to alter their look, reality or just like the way it looks. You are not alone, but black women spend more their their fair share in the hair and weave industry.
However, you are not the only one’s being exploited for profit. The Hindu women who are voluntarily giving away their hair as a sacrifice for the Gods are being taken for a ride as well. They are told their hair is a sacrifice, but it is being used to push the global hair and weave industry for pure profit.
Take a look at this video giving the behind the scenes look at how the process works.
This is where some of the hair pieces come from.#NBSFun

I found the video very interesting to see all the major players in the global hair and weave business. But the part that broke me down the most was the end when the black woman is whooping and hollering over the 42″ length of that bundle of hair.
