When Omar is coming in one of the most beloved shows ever to his US television every one of us feels something. This powerful character talks to us all. He strikes fear and spits truths. With his overbearing stature and knarly scar right across his face he cuts a striking figure.

This figure is Michael K. Williams. Michael was originally a dancer, performing with the likes of Madonna and George Michael.

But Michael is also a tall black man with a scar and the thug offers came in ,one by one as he moved into acting until he hit the mainstream with Omar.

Michael is a phenomenal actor (and an awesome dancer too!), he plays gangster, thug, like no other. But if you see this man speak he is funny and sweat, he smiles with a radiant smile. This is certainly not Omar!

In this powerful video Michael asks a question to himself, to himself in various characters he has played. He asks if he was typecast for being black, if he chose his path, if he got out of it?
