Tuesday saw a heated affair during a play-in game after a New Orleans player appeared to strangle his teammate during a timeout!
There was mor ethan six minutes left, the game was close, New Orleans were playing Mount St. Mary’s.
Junior forward Travin Thibodeaux was called for a three-second violation. He went straight for teammate Christavious Gill during the timeout!
The incident allegedlt happened because Thibodeaux was furious that the senior guard did not feed him the ball sooner!
He screamed in his face “I’ve been open, I’ve been open.”, Gill pushed him away, Thibodeaux clasped his hands around his throat…. Then the coach intervened!
Thibodeaux was benched for the rest of the game!
New Orleans lost 67-66 and their NCAA Tournament hopes were ended!
