Can you just imagine for even one second being 106 (nearly 107!) year old Virginia McLaurin standing in the White House, being greeted by a black man and his black wife.

Apparently it was Virginia’s dream to visit the White House and you can be sure she probably never imagined doing so to visit a black president.

As she excitedly entered the room, moving and dancing away she greeted the Obamas with a strong strong spirit.

This lady must have seen it all from two world wars, sever racial segregation, and finally when Obama came to office, a monumental occasion no matter what he has or has not done.

Virginia said she is there to celebrate Black History “That’s what I am here for”

The Obama’s seemed genuinely excited to meet her too and so they should be. This woman’s spirit is shining strong despite all she has seen.
