A California officer has been suspended pending an investigation by the Vallejo police department after two officers were videoed by a concerned resident carrying out a traffic stop. In the video, it’s alleged one of the officers used the N-word.
The police drew their weapons on the two men in the car who had their hands up.
Leo Bruno decided to start recording after hearing commotion outside the house and caught the slur on tape. He told CBS News
“All the fatal shootings over the past year, like Philando Castile, Michael Brown and Trayvon Martin,”
“We were worried it was going to happen again right on our doorstep.”
The Vallejo Police Department is now investigating the video and claims, and the officer is on paid administrative leave.
