The Hearts of Black Folk: White Jesus Supports Black Atheism

A while back, I had the privilege of running smack front and center into the middle of the most racist white folk west of the United States of Georgia, where localized ignorance is not only accepted, but embraced.

It only matters if you are Black. President Obama would NEVER have been President under the exact same circumstances.

I had always known the state of Georgia to be a hotbed of racism in America, at its heart and its resting model cornerstone; but the thought did not occur to me that west coast states could be just as bad or even worse until I experienced it for myself.

It was Hispanics, Mexicans, and Chicanos who started calling Arizona “Aryanzona,” not that there are a lot of Black people living in that state anyway; but they aren’t alone.

While living there for a bit more than three years, I discovered that the Deep South wasn’t the only place where racism reigned supreme. It also proliferated in Northern and Southern California, as well as in Aryanzona. There is only one major and one minor difference.

The minor difference is the willingness of Black people not to believe that racism affects them until it IMPACTS them HARD; and the other major difference is that at LEAST the deep south has a historical excuse for their racism. It is embedded in a slave history and race-driven culture that continues to thrive under a 200-PLUS year old Constitution and STATE constitutions that intended that Black people would never be free, let alone EQUAL citizens in America. Aryanzona does not have that excuse. That state never held slaves OF RECORD, so it is not just racist because of its familial tradition and history, it’s racist because of “white hot christian jesus hatred” — full-blown Ronald Reagan style.

That we even keep living under it voluntarily is wonder enough, but that so many Black people still feel beholden to a white plantation-holding slave-loving gun-toting lynching racist p-grabbing “jesus” who told us that we are inferior to white skin is even more reason to wonder.

When it dawned upon me just how deplorable and despicable those fundamental evangelical whites and their “white jesus” fantasies could be, I began to understand just exactly how it is that so many Black people had become and are becoming atheistic. If I actually believed anything they said, I’d be an atheist, as well.

I had to step back quite a few notches and listen carefully to the religious recordings that had run around in my own head for so many years. I still took one last parting shot at ‘white Jesus’ on my way out; and truth told, I wasn’t expecting a reply since I no longer believed he existed.

I asked one final question: “Why create an entire race of human beings for no other reason than to have them trampled upon by white-skinned murderers, liars, thieves, and rapists?”

In my heart I knew that if I am the clay and He is the Potter, I had no right to ask; but I also knew that I could not believe in nor trust such a God even if he did exist. I mean, why worry about a chance at hell in an afterlife when I was already living in hell on earth?

I definitely didn’t need to care about the other side of it when I had not asked to be here in the first place, and definiTIVEly had not asked to be born Black. I had fully prepared myself for the day when I, too, would declare “There is no God.”

Science does not support it, I was ready to put forth; and as far as “White Jesus and Santa Claus” are concerned, they are both two mythological creations from out of white folks mental health diseases, drunken lasciviousness, superstitions, magic potion trick bag, and their drug-induced mushroom hazes and heroin shots and cocaine snorts that simply did not happen.

The End.

…But not quite so fast…

I saw no fundamental earth-shattering differences between fundamental Christianity and any other religion on Earth, except for the ones that say there is MORE THAN one God.

Besides, God -as a testament to the scriptures- never established a religion, nor told anyone else to do so. Christ wasn’t a Christian and never commanded anyone else to be one, so I defied labels. Converted JEWS began to CALL THEMSELVES Christians at Antioch, according to the Book of Acts.

The label “christian” at Antioch and the commandment to start a “new religion” CALLED Christianity simply did not go together in any scriptural reference, including the Ten Commandments. If God is no respecter of persons, then He isn’t exempting on one set of religious beliefs over another and He did not establish any religions whatsoever. All He had to say about it is…“I AM.”

Listen to the words of a rightwing fundamental Bible-thumping gun-toting race-hating evangelical ‘christian’ who actually believed that God had SOMEHOW told white people that they were ‘better than’ or superior to His own original creation.

It’s not so much that they actually believe this mentally decrepit hogwash — a racist is as a racist does and we never expect much better of them as they are incapable of attaining an education that is above corn-pone; however, even worse is Black folks who believe it, and the other Black folk who never read a Bible in context with the world around them. Those are the ones who actually think that the only reason other Black people believe in God is because of a historical slavery plantation lie that made the rounds with freed Black people on the way off the farms.

FYI: On my way off the Christian merry-go-round and out of the religious circuses put on by various entities the world over, God did answer me: “The Bible is the only Black History book you are ever going to get.”

That one answer, which happened three days after I pledged myself an atheist, totally changed my life and my perspective on life. Forever.

It set off a chain reaction of truths that started making absolute sense, from geographical proof to DNA and genetic code evidence to even the fact that I was TOTALLY right about “white jesus.” It doesn’t exist. It never did and never will. God never created any “white jesus” with Roman characteristics. They made him up like they did Zeus and all the rest of it, in Greece as well as in Rome.

White people had stolen and usurped the faith of our ancestors in Judah (The Lion of the Tribe of Judah) and out of African lands, and then fed it back to us in such a regurgitated form coming out of Rome and the Pauline Catholic church that it played every bit of hell into its own hands. I don’t say this in order to counter their racism WITH another version of racism, I say it because those are stone cold hard facts and the Bible, history, geography, geology and genetics support it.

When God created Man, He was not a white man; and nothing they ever said about God was the truth. The fact that they call Black skin a “curse” is a lead-in. How could it be a curse when all of the people of the Bible and Holy lands were Black and colored people, including Adam & Eve; and He told them that they are BLESSED through Abrahamic Covenant, and shall BLESS EVERY NATION IN WHICH THEY SOJOURN. And that we have. Every nation in which we, God’s Alpha and Omega People, have “sojourned” has been blessed with our presence and will die without it.

The curse wasn’t the Black skin, all of those Bible characters -allegory or not- were Black. The curse and blight on us WAS THEM — white people themselves, and the fact is that most of them who know it won’t admit to it. In the above LINKED article, The dark rigidity of fundamentalist rural America: a view from the inside, the person/s who wrote it came as close as most of them get to ‘fessing up, even though he or she doesn’t know the HALF of it.

We are a People who do not even know we ARE a people.

Yes, the Bible talks about it IN DEPTH, and backs it up with evidence. It contains deep prophetic utterances about the United States of America itself and how and where this will all end. President Obama was, indeed, a moment in time signifying the end of white supremacy in the hands of God, and Donald Trump is going to be the one to lead them to their ultimate destruction in THIS land THIS moment.

Oh there is INDEED a God, a One and Only God Almighty.

I no longer have a singular doubt about it.

I believe enough time has been waisted studying the bible. The bible in truth is an anthology of mythology. the moment that you read it with the same skeptical view that you might read, if you were reading a book not from our colonized mind set. The bible itself disproves any connection with superior intelligence with it’s description of a flat earth with a solid dome over it. Then it becomes a matter of interpretation and revelation, two of the worst and least consistent ways of communicating. If you and I could think of a better plan to communicate to people, than so can a god.

Sounds like you’re calling Black people stupid.
