One of the three winners in the $564 million dollar powerball jackpot has been identified and it couldn’t have happened to a better person. She has been dealing with unemployment problems after needing to quit to take care of her children, one has cerebral palsy. However,  feels blessed to have that financial pressure moved from her life.

marie-holmes-powerballIn an interview, she talks about the first thing she will do with the new found win fall is to tithe  to her church because she feels she wouldn’t have won with the help of God. Secondly, she is going to set aside money for her children’s future and college funds. Next, she will help out her family so they don’t have to have any financial burdens in their lives before finally settling on a place to live and buy a house for her family.

“I’m thankful that I can bless my kids with something that I didn’t have,” she expressed. “I’m going to set up accounts for my kids and when I figure out where we’re going to live, I’m going to buy a house for me and my kids and then I’m going to make sure my family is good.”

Holmes has lived a life of real struggle, so it makes this story very heartwarming.

“I have four kids, one boy and three girls. I’ve been struggling since I had them, but I wouldn’t trade nothing because they’re a blessing. I’m just thankful that I can actually do it for them without anybody’s help, without anybody telling me that they did this or that. I don’t have to worry about the word ‘struggle’ anymore and neither do they.”

SOUND OFF: What do you think of the $188M come up? And what would you do with the  money if you won?
