Donald Trump seems to be playing the racism card in recent weeks as he goes on from one false or out of context statement to another and this time his Twitter account is posting false statistics. The graphic posted lists a bunch of stats. It says:

USA CRIME STATISTICS 2015
Blacks Killed By Whites — 2%
Blacks Killed By Police — 1% (This is highlighted)
Whites Killed By Police — 3%
Whites Killed By Blacks — 81%
Blacks Killed By Blacks — 97% (This is highlighted)

The source of the graphic claims to be the Crime Statistics Bureau – San Francisco.

Gawker looked into this a bit and Ashley Feingberg said, “According to the most recently released set of crime statistics from the FBI (which are from 2014), 82 percent of white homicides are committed by other white people, while black offenders account for just 14 percent of white homicides.”

“And out of the total number of black homicides,” she continued, “7 percent are actually committed by white offenders, while 89 percent are committed by other black people.”

Now, even if the stats are right there is a bigger problem going on here. Trump’s team posted the graphic that highlights two pieces of information. Blacks killed by police and by other blacks. These two snippets of info are being posted to go against recent problems that are clear in the media but as numbers these are completely out of context.

There is clearly an issue with UNARMED black men being shot by police and the black on black crime is such a deep issue it can’t even begin to be discussed alongside these other facts in out of place statistics.

It just looks like Trump is trying to stir up hate and doesn’t shy away from throwing damaging info with no regard to it’s truth. He seems to be following the rule of “divide and conquer”.

It’s no surprise this came the same day that Trump showed absolutely no sympathy to a BLM protester who may have been suject to racial slurs and beating at one of his rallies (read more here).

I sincerely hope the American people wake up and he doesn’t reach office!
