Trump Doesn’t Pay Taxes Yet He’s Revoking Your Passport if You Don’t Pay Yours

It has been a year since Congress gave the IRS the mandate to collect taxes. Tax code Section 7345 stipulates “Revocation and even Denial of Passport in the Case of Certain Tax Delinquencies.” This law seeks to use travel in enforcing tax collections. The law is further not limited to criminal tax cases or where the IRS suspects an individual is trying to flee.

Therefore it you have significant delinquent tax debt, the IRS has the power to notify the State Department to not issue or renew your passport making your travel impossible. According to IRS certification was set to commence in 2017 and its implementation has begun. Any seriously delinquent tax debt that is unpaid yet legally enforceable federal tax debt that is over $50,000 for which a federal tax lien is filed and administration remedies have lapsed and levy has been issue, will be considered in making issuing a passport.

Doesn’t Trump have the EO to toss this tax code in the trash since he brags about not paying his taxes?
