Gun store owners across the country are noting an uptick in African-American and minority customers looking to get a firearm, many first-timers, post-Trump victory. Some are reporting a 4-fold increase.

The sudden rush for gun ownership is of course good news for weapon peddlers but the trend is seriously worrying as the reasons behind the fear for safety seem absolutely legit. Since Trump’s victory outright racist and hate attacks are notably higher, Over 700 instances of hate crimes have already been reported to the Southern Poverty Law Center since November 8!

The very armed ALT-Right movement is gaining a voice and fear of being shot by law enforcement is putting blacks and minorities on an all time edge.

The fear is very real and the will to protect is very justified.

You can question if a person with a gun is any safer? If you have a gun you may use it, that could be life in jail, arguably better than no life at all! Guns being shown can escalate events, fighting fire with fire doesn’t always work in this climate.

Times are getting dangerous, things are worrying for sure. Of course if one part of society is armed the other will want to be too and that is an American right!
