Maybe it’s none of my business but I am getting very worried about the likes of Tomi Lahren and the other “young”, “hip” faces rising in favor of ALT-Right views.

They denounce the KKK yet get defensive about their own clear racism (that they try and cloud in other words).

Trevor Noah had the rising star Tomi Lahren on the Daily Show and tried to talk her down from some of her ridiculous beliefs and stances. He did a stellar job of staying calm, point out inconsistencies and generally showing her BS for what it is, TOTAL BS!

I really like and respect Trevor, he is a man who has come from a country where apartheid supposedly ended very recently. He has dived into the American political arena with knowledge and wit, he knows his stuff and he is damn funny.

After the interview and the show it was reported that Trevor went out to dinner with Tomi and she then later posted an instagram showing cupcakes that have been said to have been sent personally by Trevor. She wrote

Now, it’s his right to do what he wants. Maybe he sees some hope in her, maybe he thinks she is a lost soul, capable of a U-turn and denouncing her veiled hate.

However, I fear the opposite. Tomi has been hanging with other black celebs, a tactic often used by people trying to claim non-racism, ‘Hey, I Have Black Friends”, whilst spitting vile hatred and circular baseless arguments that very much line up with the ALT-Right.

Her basic view is that black people should stop moaning, but she spends all her time complaining…. Shouldn’t she stop complaining about black people…. see, it gets circular!

Now, all respect to Trevor, but I fear he is wasting his time and actually negatively affecting the situation. Trevor’s “friendship” with Tomi gives legitimacy to her hate, and helps other people agree with her and not feel racist for doing so.

I believe he should have kept his dealings with her lower key, or not given her any personal time at all.
