The surge is on around the country to raise minimum wage for restaurant workers by much of the population. People and politicians realize the corporations are just being greedy and can afford to pay their workers a living wage, but refuse to do so.
It would only cost the rest of the consumers pennies on the dollar in increased purchase cost to make this a reality. However, large fast food corporations are completely against this movement and are fighting tooth and nail not to raise wages.
In fact, they are going so far as to work on creating robots that will replace burger and meal makers in the back of their restaurants with robots. We have seen the automated teller with touch screens beginning to pop up around the world, now they are talking about replacing burger makers as well.
In fact, a company by the name of Momentum machines has created such a machine that can pump out 1 burger every 10 seconds. It has the attention of these large corporations looking to maximize shareholder value, profits and their jobs.
According to Amanda Gabriel of WHDT, these plans are well underway and they have much more elaborate developments in the process.
Gabriel says in the video, “Cost millions of dollars to develop. But if they can build one that last, corporate investors say it could be much cheaper than raising the minimum wage to $15 per hour.
A company called Momentum machines has already made a robot that can put out 1 burger ever 10 seconds. And it literally does everything from slicing the tomatoes and pickles to grinding the meat and toasting the bun. The company says the new machine is more sanitary, more consistent, and more productive than a human workforce.
Early test put out more than 360 burgers every hour.”

THERE IS A SIMPLE SOLUTION TO THIS PEOPLE!
Many people are panicking over the replacement of potentially millions of jobs around the country and world, but there is a simple solution to the issue….don’t patronage stores that replace workers with robots.
That’s it!
If you don’t spend your money there in protest of them being unreasonable, then they won’t place robots in the stores. Seriously, we have to start thinking bigger than the .50 cents or quarter we will save per order. We have to think about the youngsters in our community that need jobs, the working mother that needs this to feed her baby, or the father who is just trying to make ends meet.
These corporations are not adding machines to save us money. They are adding machines so their greedy, soul-less beings don’t have to make responsible decisions for our community…and so they can increase profit.
That’s it!
We have to do the responsible thing as a community and help ourselves by protecting one another. If you don’t spend your money with these organizations that avoid $15/hr minimum wage jobs, then they won’t seek to add these robots.
