When the trailor showed up with the first glimpse of Joseph Fiennes’ playing the king of pop quite a ruckus broke out! When his casting was announced a year ago it caused issues but after actually seeing him effectively black faced for the role with terrible plastic looking makeup there was quite some outrage!

So, the episode of the show “Urban Myths” has been cancelled. Sky say it was out of respect for the reaction of the family.

They released a statement that read:

“We have taken the decision not to broadcast Elizabeth, Michael And Marlon, a half-hour episode from the Sky Arts Urban Myths series, in light of the concerns expressed by Michael Jackson’s immediate family.

“We set out to take a light-hearted look at reportedly true events and never intended to cause any offence. Joseph Fiennes fully supports our decision.”

Paris, MJ’s daughter had said that seeing the clip made her want to vomit and expressed obvious concern. She wrote “I’m so incredibly offended by it, as I’m sure plenty of people are as well, and it honestly makes me want to vomit.” Many also backed her feeling it was a disrespectful portrayal.

Paris took to twitter again to say “i’m surprised the family’s feelings were actually taken into consideration for once, we all really do appreciate it more than y’all know.”
