The unfortunate effect of ignorance is rapper Tory Lanez who thought he was doing something noble. Lanez went shopping for some new digs and in his words they tried to “play” him like he “was broke.” Some of us would call that discrimination. A store employee assumed that from Lanez’s appearance he could not afford to shop in the establishment.
So instead of leaving and spending his money elsewhere he decided to spend $35,000 in a store that discriminated against. I know that’s right, teach them a lesson, show them you’re not broke buy paying their car note and mortgage??
This has to be dumbest thing I’ve heard in a while, let me give people who don’t like me my money. He made a post to social media trying to clown the sales person who “played him like he was broke” but he actually clowned himself. The backlash he received encouraged him to remove the post because we can only assume he realized how stupid his actions were.
That was is opportunity to make a statement and go spend his money where he is celebrated and not simply tolerated. He didn’t have to prove but he did teach the salesclerk was that it was okay for him to be prejudice.
