MORE RACIST BS: Florida Teen Was Told Her Afro Was ‘Too Extreme’ For School

by | May 22, 2017 | News | 3 comments

17-year-old Jenesis Johnson has faced a reprimand from her school for her natural hair! She’s in the eleventh grade at North Florida Christian in Tallahassee and last week one of her teachers told her:

“She said that my hair needs to be fixed, it was not neat and needs to be put in a style. My hair is fixed,”

She has been wearing her hair like this for the past seven months.

Jenesis, the teacher asked “How long are you rocking that hairstyle?” two days before being called to the assistant principal’s office where she was told:

“your hair is extreme and faddish and out of control. It’s all over the place,”

Her school is a private school and she was told she had broken the rules.

I think we really have issues with Common Sense! a Private School can have a mandate that all students, must dress up like Marry Poppins and Harry Potter! its a private school! 50 years after what Malcolm said about educating our own and folks still sending their children to Non Black private schools and still wondering why they get shade?? Does that make sense???
