A white man (but i’m sure you guessed that already) in Mesa, Arizona goes on a wild, hours long shooting and killing spree that left one dead and five wounded on Wednesday. Police lead the manhunt with helicopters, tactical groups, performing door to door searches to find him.
But here is the tough part to deal with for the black community, he is alive to tell his story and answer questioning. You couldn’t pay us to believe had this man been black the outcome would have been different.
It is impossible for the black community to read about this story and not think of all the black men recently killed by the police without a weapon;
Michael Brown, 18, Tamir Rice, 12, John Crawford III, 22, Rumain Brisbon, 34, Akai Gurley, 28, Kajieme Powell, 25, Ezell Ford, 25, Tyree Woodson, 38, ….the l ist goes on and on. And this were all in the past 8 months. There were plenty more.
The racial hypocrisy to the black community is hard to swallow.
Here are some of the specifics from the (AP) — A gunman killed one person and wounded five others Wednesday in a rampage that included a motel shooting, a carjacking and a home invasion and ended with his arrest at a nearby apartment in suburban Phoenix.
The suspect was taken into custody after officers spotted him on an apartment balcony and shocked him with a stun gun. Numerous officers led the handcuffed man to a truck parked outside an apartment complex.
Police later identified the man as Ryan Giroux, a 41-year-old ex-convict who has served three stints in state prison since 1994.
To subdue the man, he was shot with a stun gun…..a stun gun? You mean those work?
We have been made to believe the use of deadly force was necessary for police officers because “at the end of the night, they want to go home to their families”, therefore, they error on the side of caution.
Guess this rule doesn’t seem to apply when the suspects are white.
