Donald Trump is a very confusing and complex man. In one breathe he’s insinuating violence against minorities and in the next he’s asking his supporters to stop harassing the very people he’s been targeting during his entire presidential campaign.
In his first televised interview on, 60 minutes, since being elected as the next President, he told his supporters to “stop it.” During his interview he told Lesly Stahl, “I am so saddened to hear that…and I say, ‘Stop it.’ If it — if it helps, I will say this, and I will say right to the cameras: ‘Stop it.'”
“I would say don’t do it, that’s terrible, because I’m going to bring this country together,” Trump said.
At least he said something but actions speak louder than words and his appointment of Stephen Bannon speaks volumes. Bannon is a known racists and Trump believes he will be a good addition to the White House.
Richard Cohen, President of the Southern Poverty Law Center told CNN’s “New Day” that there have been more that 300 incidents that their organization has recorded. Trump said he has only heard about one or two incidents and is not happy about them. Over 300 incidents and he’s only heard about two?
Despite what he said in his 60 minutes interview, we are still in for a crazy 4 years.
