The co-founders of Pinetart Inc. are having a good start to their week. Not only is their new mobile app, Five-O, debuting in Android app stores, they are debuting their new website that was donated by a UI supporter.
Once I learned about the Christian siblings and their app that lets users track their contact with law enforcement, I went to their website to learn more about them. Along with finding that Caleb, Ima, and Asha have two other apps in the pipeline, I saw that they could use some help to make their website a little more user friendly.
I reached out to my friend and business partner Freddie Taylor of Nimble Websites, to see if he was interested in helping the teens out.
Freddie was ecstatic to help the Pinetart Inc. site get a new look. “This is clearly my greatest work as a web designer. I get to support the future by building a site for young people that are doing great things,” he announced to Facebook friends about the pro-bono project. He described it as “therapy”, especially after the emotional taxing week we’ve had with the updates of what’s going on in Ferguson.
Nimble Websites gave the mobile app trio a flexible and responsive site, linking to some of their press features, info on upcoming apps, and a contact form to reach the teens. There’s also a link to download the app for Android users. The iPhone app is slated to be released in the near future.
We’re happy to have been able to help the youth with such a positive project. Check out the Pinetart Inc. website and download their app!
