Most of us know by now New England Patriots tight end, Martellus Bennett, has decided not to visit the White House following the Patriot’s Super Bowl win, which is a tradition of sorts. In short Bennett does not have a desire to visit a man that accepted endorsements from the KKK, a well-known white supremacist hate group.
Now his teammate defensive back, Devin McCourty, is joining him. McCourty explained in a text message to TIME why he wouldn’t be attending. “Basic reason for me is I don’t feel accepted in the White House. With the president having so many strong opinions and prejudices I believe certain people might feel accepted there while others won’t.”
Simple straight forward explanation. They won’t be there, thanks but no thanks! If you don’t stand for something you’ll fall for anything.
