Following the massacre at Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina on June 17, 2015, a Republican South Carolina state Rep., Chris Corley, gained a lot of attention. Corley was loud, boisterous and adamant about keeping the Confederate flag atop the South Carolina Statehouse. It was almost like he had no empathy for the nine church members who lost their lives and the hatred the confederate flag represents.
Well, Corley recently made headlines again for beating his wife. According to the Post, 36 year-old Corley was arrested Monday for allegedly punching his wife in the face and pointing a gun towards her. He was released the following day after posting his $20,000 bail. Corley is now restricted from making contact with his wife and possessing a firearm.
Not only Corley beat his wife, he beat her in front of their two children. His wife alleged he lost it when she caught him cheating. The Post reported Corley could potentially be looking at a maximum of 15 years in prison if convicted.
