What does Oprah know about gift giving? If she wanted to gift a diamond, a house, a yacht, whatever, it’s no skin off her nose and she has given many lavish gifts over the years!

But there is one thing that she says is a guarenteed winner and I would say, I have to agree with her, it’s a lovely gesture.

Several years ago, she was having an after show chat with the Audience. She told them:

“The best gift I ever saw ― and that works for anybody, I swear, guaranteed, no matter the holiday ― is a ‘grateful journal’ done on a particular person,” she says.

So, you buy a journal and personalize it. On each page, write a reason why you are grateful to have that person in your life.

She said:

“If you do that for anybody, for any occasion … it will make the person love themselves so much,”

A great idea for the upcoming holiday season I think!
