John Carlos will NEVER be forgotten for his black power fist on the podium at the 1968 Olympic Games. And if any school book, government or media try to erase this hopefully the people will keep the moment alive!
Now 71, Carlos has lost NONE of his spirit. He means what he says and often lays it out clear as day and dark as night.
Recently Shaquille O’Neal was criticizing Colin Kaepernick’s protest. He said that because of relatives in law enforcement and military that he wouldn’t follow the protest and that “There are other ways to get your point across.”
Carlos didn’t like that at all, speaking to TMZ sports he said:
“To Shaq and all the other guys that want to be the naysayers to what Kaepernick is doing, all I can say to them is they better be careful on how they gonna come out … on which side of history they’re gonna come out in the future.”
“I think they’re gonna come out on the wrong side of the street.”
