This might be a bit of preaching to the choir when speaking with the black community. We have felt since the inception of this country that white Americans have remained the number one terror threat to all people here, including the indigenous and non-immigrants (let that one sink in).
Nevertheless, it is always good to have research, studies and data to prove the obvious for those that might be in denial or can’t see past their white privilege to accept this reality.

The New America Foundation is the author of the study and discovered that twice as many people have died in attacks by right wing groups of white Americans than Muslim extremist since 9/11. And you already know who takes the cake prior to 9/11 going back throughout American history.

From the Global Post: White Americans are the biggest terror threat in the United States, according to a study by the New America Foundation. The Washington-based research organization did a review of “terror” attacks on US soil since Sept. 11, 2001 and found that most of them were carried out by radical anti-government groups or white supremacists.

Almost twice as many people have died in attacks by right-wing groups in America than have died in attacks by Muslim extremists. Of the 26 attacks since 9/11 that the group defined as terror, 19 were carried out by non-Muslims. Yet there are no white Americans languishing inside the prison camp at Guantanamo Bay. And there are no drones dropping bombs on gatherings of military-age males in the country’s lawless border regions.

The study goes on to discuss how when white, right wing groups attack, the media coverage doesn’t get nearly as much attention as when a non-white person attacks. In addition, the word terrorism is rarely mentioned either, but we all know why so let’s not play dumb.
