Mugabe Urged Africans & African-Americans to Work Together | We Agree

The truth is both Africans and African-Americans have many reasons to work together. The similarities in their experiences when it comes to relationships with the West are obvious for anyone who knows a shred of their history.

Well one world leader is urging a union between Africans and African-Americans.

Robert Mugabe wants to see Africans and African Americans working together. The facts are both are being severely oppressed by the colonizing European countries and America. Therefore coming together, using their collective wealth, resources and intelligence to begin building things of their own. Businesses they control and institutions that benefit them.

The call by Mugabe also wished everyone involved began to study the history of other great Pan-Africanist who spoke of economic freedom, unity and collaboration. Great leaders like Marcus Garvey.

Marcus Garvey was a Jamaican that still fought for African Independence and the rights of individuals to be free while working together around the world. His name may have been sullied by Western media, but he is know for advocating for economic freedom, and control over land and resources.

Mugabe urged more people to read more about Kwame Nkrumah that played such a key role in our history, but we wonder why people don’t already know this history?

Perhaps if we stopped listening to Western media outlets who mislead and lie about African and African-American leaders around the world, then we might realize working together economically, politically and socially with other black people around the world can create something special.

Perhaps we will be able to realize the dream of Marcus Garvey, Kwame Nkrumah and other Pan-Africanist of linking the entire African diaspora in commerce, trade, education, history and collaboration.

It might not happen in our lifetimes, but it must happen.
