By now, I’m sure you’ve heard of the thousands of dollars that Darren Wilson supporters have raised for him have hit the 6 figure mark.
Now there’s another officer has thousands of dollars behind him.
27-year-old Oklahoma City police officer Daniel Holtzclaw allegedly sexually abused eight women, all of them black.
He was arrested on charges including rape, forcible oral sodomy, sexual battery and indecent exposure. The officer is said to have committed these crimes while on patrol, threatening the women with arrest or violence if they did not allow him to touch them inappropriately or show their bodies to him.
While he’s currently being held on $5 million bond, supporters have created a “Justice for Daniel Holtzclaw” Facebook page. The group is selling t-shirts and have started a crowdfunding campaign on GoFundMe to raise money for the officer’s legal defense. At the time of writing, the fund has raised over $7,000.
Multiple requests to GoFundMe to remove the campaign have gone ignored. Many users are refusing to use the platform anymore, especially after the amount of money Darren Wilson’s campaign raised and the numerous racist comments left on the page.
Wait, so @gofundme will remove pic of a little girl’s injuries but not a campaign to reward Darren Wilson for murder?

Holtzclaw can face life in prison if he’s convicted of even one count of first-degree rape.
Read “DARK JOURNEY: Black Mississippians in the Age of Jim Crow” by Neil R. McMillen. VIVID about why they feel privileged to rape Black women and walk. They always have.
