UPDATE: Anonymous was wrong. More info to come.

Breaking news in the Ferguson, MO police killing of unarmed, black teenager Michael Brown. The hacker group, Anonymous, released the name of the cop who murdered him in cold blood.

The killing has sparked almost a full week of protest in the city of Fergeson, MO and there is no reason to believe it will stop any time soon. The young, old, reporters, aldermen and citizens are standing in solidarity with the Brown family expressing their outrage over how the killing and the situation is being handled by the police department.

Here is the the tweet by Anonymous:

And according to other tweets, the hacking group isn’t finished yet.

They have warned if the Furguson police department doesn’t comply with their demands of more details in the case, then they will continue to release information about the officer. The information they say they will release in addition to his name, which they have done is his photo, address and full documentation on the officer.

Regardless of how you feel about the situation and the hacking group, Anonymous is pushing for transparency in the police department, government and institutions world wide.
