Malcolm X’s Daughter on Beyonce’s Super Bowl Performance: “Absolutely loved it!”

“Absolutely loved it!” These were the exact words of Malcom X’s daughter, Ilyasay Shabazz right after Beyonce’s performance at the Super Bowl. The performance acted as a tribute in honor of Malcom X, the former slain civil rights leader.

However, there was a fall out on Beyonce’s presentation as many sources argued that she used the platform to attack police officers….which is ridiculous. She presented a song that condemned the arguably senseless killings that have been going on in the United States since the so called slaves have been freed.

It is no surprise that Shabazz supported Beyonce’s performance. During an encounter with Daily News,Shabazz made a truthful statement that needs to be heard; “stop shooting us.” This was right after she had spoken to a group of Long Island teens during Black History Month.

It is not only Shabazz who praises Beyonce for her song and performance. Black Lives Matter activist Abdullah acknowledged the courage of Beyonce for willing to use her artistry as a means of advocating for social justice. What’s interesting is that Beyonce and her husband Jay Z further pledged $1.5 million to the ‘Black Lives Matter’ group.
