Marjorie Stewart was the inventor of the permanent hair wave machine that was used to curl an entire head of hair all at once.
Stewart under Madame C.J. Walker became the national supervisor for more than two hundred salon colleges and later joined the board of directors of the establishment.
In Chicago, Stewart started her first beauty salon and received a wave of customers from every nook and corner. Married to Robert Joyner, Marjorie believed that necessity remains the source of creation and invention.
Joyner’s invention dream started when she noticed a problem while working with the Marcel wave. It is always a time-consuming task to handle anything involving the hair iron.
Stewart perfected her invention by 1928 and applied for the patent to own the device she has invented.
Joyner’s invention can simply set an entire head of curls at the same time. Marjorie mentioned that people can always accomplish anything they set their mind to, provided the necessity to do so exist.
