Friends of Elizabeth “Liz” Ana Smith, president of the Eureka branch of the NAACP in Northern California, are extremely worried after she posted a cryptic video on Monday and has not been seen since.
At about 12:30 a.m. on Monday, she posted a 28-minute long video to Facebook where she said she had not been able to sleep since Mother’s Day and that “I am in heaven because I have been crucified.”
Smith was the CEO of Boys and Girls Club of the Redwoods until late in March, when she spoke to the Times-Standard and said she had been placed on indefinite administrative leave. She then resigned in April.
In the video she addressed other members with various accusations and accused them of mismanagement and discrimination.
As you can imagine everyone is concerned and the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office is leading a missing persons investigation.
Elizabeth is described at a Black female, age 39, 5’3, 185 pounds with brown eyes and long brown hair. Elizabeth is associated with a 2007 black Lexus, Ca plate 5TYB663.
