Seems like there is nothing she cannot due.

kerry washingtonThis skit is funny, but takes on an issue that has been causing a lot of buzz recently in the online and offline world. It all started when…..I can’t even remember his name. Let me Google it, Kenan Thompson. This all started when he said black women are not funny, thus not on Saturday Night Live in the cast.

Well, there was much outrage in the community, which I didn’t really understand. I’m not one that likes when black people feel they have to stand up and prove themselves to white audiences. I would prefer if they banned together, got the support and dollars of our people, did their own thing and took money, talent and rating from all of them.

However, I will let my pipe dream go for now and continue with this story.

Kerry Washington took her victory tour from the incredible year she is having to host SNL. It was a stunning success in terms of ratings and laughs. SNL enjoyed their highest ratings in a month.

Washington held her own in a variety of skits proving she has comedic talents to go along with her activism, good looks, and ability to perform in dramas.

The skit included here takes on the issue of the lack of black women characters head on as Washington has to play all the black women in the skit. It ranges from Michelle Obama, Oprah to Beyonce with Al Sharpton making an appearance at the end.

What do you think of the skit, Kenan Thompson (forgettable self), and the lack of black women, SNL controversy?
