Jay-Z is working on envoking change through film. First he brought us Time: The Kalief
Browder Story and then Rest in Power: The Trayvon Martin Story. Now in another collaboration with the Weinstein Company, he will bringing us a documentary that will bring some uncomfortable issues to the forefront.
His new documentary “Race” will tackle race issues in the aftermath of Trump’s election.
On the National Geographics Channel, “Race” will examine systematic injustices, social media, the wealth gap, and activism.
We have witnessed racism before but it escalated with the new Presidnet and those issues will be discussed with a wide array of Americans. Racism has been an issue in this country since inception and if we stop running away from the issues that plague our country we can move in the right direction towards change.
