Colin Kaepernick ruffled a lot of feathers when he decided to sit during the national anthem. Since his protest athletes everywhere have joined him in solidarity, acknowledging that there is a problem in this country that we need to take a serious look at. Last night in Indianapolis the Indiana Fever knelt for the national anthem in unison. This was the first time an entire team has knelt for the anthem.

Well just as Kaepernick ruffled feathers, so did the women of the Indiana Fever. The women kneeling in solidarity with Kaepernick infuriated Darrell Patrick so much that he took to Facebook to express his disgust for the women’s actions. Darrell commented on the story reported by FOX59 stating, “That’s just to get attention to their team because they SUCK!!! and most of them are uneducated niggers.”

It is sad but it’s also eye opening for this country, this is America. We brag about how great this country is but constantly try to sweep racism under the rug. This man was completely out of line but this is our reality. People of color are constant accused of “playing the race card”, when in actually most of us are playing the hands we are dealt.

Imagine being black and interviewing for a job with Darrell Patrick. The interview ended as soon as you walked through the door and you didn’t even know it. But the beautiful thing about racism is it’s a feeling and it is damn there impossible to prove someone is racist unless of course that someone is Darrell Patrick. He’s either “uneducated” or a proud racist. The saddest part of all is he has children, so can you imagine what he’s teaching his them?

Needless to say, I’m waiting for the day we find out where Darrell Patrick works so we can ensure he is fired. We can only assume he has to work with black people at his place of employment and how can he effectively serve a group of people he feels comfortable referring to as niggers. He can’t. America the great.
