In the wake of the Darren Wilson case, more damning racial discrimination continues to pour out of the area highlighting the bias of prosecutor Bob McCullough and the Missouri legal system. Many have pointed to this in the past, but a case with a black cop at the center accentuates the point very well.

Dawon Gore, age 44, a 13 year veteran of the St.

Louis County Police Department, was charged with felony assault after his encounter with a black MetroLink passenger in April of this year.

During the altercation with the passenger, Gore pulled his baton and struck the man on the hand breaking 3 fingers. He was 24 years old.

dawon-goreBob McCullough, the prosecutor on the Darren Wilson case, charged Gore, of Ferguson, with second degree assault. He was jailed on a $3,500, cash-only bond.

Please notice, no Grand Jury was conviened, Gore was charged immediately by the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office directly. Wonder what the differences in this case was to the clear abuse of power used in the Wilson case?

Gore was immediately suspended from the police force without pay while facing his felony charges. Another stark contrast to Wilson, who was kept on the force and given paid leave for his part in the killing of unarmed, black teenager Michael Brown. Wilson was even asked to come back to the force, but he declined.

Gore said: “Officer Darren Wilson is White, I am a Black Officer. Wilson didn’t do a report, I also chose not to do a report. Both subjects were black males, Wilson’s subject had cigars but was unarmed and my subject was found not to be armed as well. Wilson drew a weapon (gun), and I drew my metal baton.” – Source: The Free Thought Project

More hypocrisy in the American legal system as we all suspected, but isn’t it time for someone on the federal level to look into the actions of Prosecutor Bob McCullough?
