Housing A Prisoner In California Will Now Cost More Than Harvard, At $75,560 Per Inmate!

We are fully aware that many many people are in jail in California that should not be. And with somewhere close to 6000 being in private run, for-profit, prisons in the State it’s a horrible thing to hear that the cost of housing an inmate is estimated to rise to over $75k per year according to Gov. Jerry Brown’s spending plan for the fiscal year that starts July 1st!
