When The Person Responsible For Teaching You Is Racist…

When you send your children to school you expect them to have a few difficult moments with other kids sometimes, maybe stay after because they didn’t complete an assignment and yes lose a few sweaters and jackets along the way.  But it seldom enters your mind that an educator entrusted with molding and influencing young minds is a racist.

Welcome to Bailey Park Elementary School in Grinnell Iowa where there exists such a teacher.  Goeff Burd’s two young mixed race children were subjected to the teacher’s venom and hate filled words.

  These children were told that black people are stupid and should not go to school with white people.   That black people are stupid and don’t know anything.

  And this ‘educator’ took her hate a step further and said that black and white should not be a family.

Burd’s young daughter Nikki and son Marquez told their father about the racist verbal assault what they endured.  You can see and hear an emotional Goeff Burd retell his children’s experience to Mark Tauscheck a report for KCCI News.

Baily Park Elementary Superintendent Todd Abrahamson confirmed the 60 year old female teacher in question is under level 1 investigation and on paid administrative leave.

The results of the investigation are expected to be in next week.  We, but the emotional damage to the two young elementary kids has already started.
