Lupita Nyong’o pretty much knocks it out of the park every single photo shoot.
The Queen Of Katwe star shines infront of the lens.
And now, for her latest VOGUE cover shoot, she decided to take the magazine’s photographers back home to Kenya. This kind of project reminds me of Usain Bolt asking for ads to be shot at home in Jamaica.
Celebs NEED to do this more, help their local economy, bring the world to their door and make sure that awareness is increased.
She had photos with family, local people and friends and the environment.
Lupita says in the mag:
“There are certain cards that have been dealt me that I take on,” Lupita says. “I want to create opportunities for other people of color because I’m fortunate enough to have a platform to do that.
That is why Eclipsed and even Queen of Katwe are so important, to change the narrative, offer a new lens on African identity.”
And that
“I cannot run away from who I am and my complexion or the larger society and how they may view that. I realize that with what I shared at the Essence awards.”
WE LOVE HER FOR THIS!
