Are HBCUs Taking Hush Money from the Trump Administration?

While the mandate of The United States president Donald Trump is only at the beginning, it is surely started with a lot of controversial news. One of them was the appointment of Betty DeVos as the Secretary of Education when she is gravely unqualified for the position. When they stress to regular everyday people that if you get an education and work hard you’ll succeed in life. This administration has done an amazing job at debunking that myth because 99% of Trump’s administration are completely unqualified for the positions they hold. There charitable contributions to Trump’s campaign and business affiliations “earned’ them their positions. But I’ll digress.

The highly unqualified DeVos recently visited a well-known HBCU, Howard University. She met with the president of the Howard University, Wayne A.I. Frederick. This meeting did not pass unnoticed by students of the black population whose dissatisfaction was more than obvious.
Although, this meeting went in ¨perfect order”, the students have raised spoke out against this act with the explanation that the strategy of the new Government is mainly based on “bribing” the problems to be silent. Trump is no stranger to paying for cooperation and or throwing hush money around, which way students are concerned. They believe that the long-lasting problems of black population and immigrants with hard financial problems and an unenviable position in the society, won’t go away with one meeting.
The students hope that A.I. Frederick did not ”fall” for this government’s move, and that he represented their concerns. Only time will tell.

Keep up to date with everything going on in the Urban Intellectuals Universe.
