Killer Mike opened by making it clear he wasn’t opening the Morehouse College Rally for Bernie Sanders to pander to a politician, he made it clear that black people matter. With strong words such as “If You Give Your Vote, Godammit, Demand Something” and “We Are Here On This Great Campus Because Slaves Chose To Educate Their Children” to recounting a near arrest earlier in that same day.

He made it clear that the only candidate who has social justice policies for the poor that line up with Martin Luther King Jnr is Bernie Sanders, the others are telling young people and black lives matter to just wait a while but Bernie is addressing it NOW.

He created a little controversy by passing a dig at Clinton by saying “A uterus doesn’t qualify you to be president”, he went onto say policies are what qualifies you.

He talked how he expects Sanders to look out for the African American community.

The speech was powerful as hell, and that was before Bernie even started. This was Mike on his home turf, the college he attended, with the people he cares about!
